Brogent Technologies Inc. announced its financial report for 2019 with a revenue of NT$2.08 billion. The Board of Directors last week declared a cash dividend of NT$5.6 per share with a payout ratio of over 80%.

In 2019, Brogent’s diversified business grew with strong operating performance in each quarter. Revenue and profitability made significant leaps, both reaching historical highs. Annual revenue reached NT$2.08 billion which is an increase of 27.1% compared to 2018. Net profit after tax was NT$367 million and EPS was NT$6.57 which gained 42.5% from 2018. Revenue from its media content business represented approximately 16% of the total revenue in 2019.

According to Brogent Group CEO C.H. Ouyang, the company’s revenue has grown nearly 10 times since the day that Brogent was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Its flying theater has become a world standard, and its revenue from media content is gradually increasing. Due to the growing number of flying theaters and immersive media experiences around the world, the demand and income for media content licensing will continue to grow year by year.

Looking back on the past 20 years, the theme parks industry has continued to grow even when going through difficult events such as SARS in 2003 and the financial crisis in 2008. Although the coronavirus pandemic is still serious around the world, Brogent maintains an optimistic view. At this stage, many theme park operators are taking advantage of this challenging time to work with Brogent on the construction of new amusement rides, equipment maintenance, and media content updates. Brogent will continue to launch different types of immersive amusement rides to match its demand in the entertainment industry.
